NORTH TONAWANDA- William L. Weigand, 66, Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Mr. Weigand was born in Utica, on April 12, 1951, to Julius and Margaret (Schultz) Weigand. Mr. Weigand was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish and claims representative for Social Security Administration.
William is survived by his wife, Nancy (Liskiewicz) Weigand; father of Gregory (the late Lara), Steven (Elizabeth) and Christopher Weigand; brother of Margaret (Daniel) Bolton, Robert (Deborah), Sharon, Dr. James (Linda) and Thomas (Christina) Weigand; grandfather of Sophie and Isabella. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday from, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or St. Jude the Apostle Parish.

So sorry to read about Billy's passing. I remember the Weigand's very well. They were a very good and friendly family. My aunt and uncle, the Monico's lived next door. I have fond memories of playing baseball with Billy and the other kids at Jefferson School. North Utica was a unique and great place to live. I still have a warm spot in my heart for it. Although I have left Utica over fifty years ago, I am always saddened to read about someone's passing from the neighborhood. May the Lord comfort all of you during your time of sadness. God Bless.
