It is still so sad to think that John is gone and to the legacy he left of such a caring and giving person.

There isn't an appropriate enough Phrase to describe what a wonderful person/teacher/role model that John has been for my daughter and so many children, that can given him enough praise.
He will be missed for generations to come.

I am very, very sorry for your loss. As one of many Kent kids lucky enough to grow up with Mr. Quirk as a role model, I won't forget how funny, warm, and welcoming he always was. He really did make Kent an incredible place to grow up. RIP, Mr. Quirk.

My daughters and deeply saddened by this news. We have many wonderful memories of Mr. Q from the many summers spent at Camp Sloane. We adored him! My oldest had to write a reflection paper for school in which she wrote about him and camp. We are sorry for your loss and will hold you in our thoughts.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Mr. Quirk's family and friends. Going to school with his son Ryan, and playing little league with Ryan and his other son Griffin, and getting to know his family has meant so much. He was a great man and will be missed!

My husband and I and our daughter will never forget her wonderful, beloved second-grade teacher, Mr. Quirk. We had met him during our daughter's earlier years at Indian Mountain School and knew how much the kids enjoyed his humor and his witty, engaging personality, but it was not until she moved up into his class in 2010 and we had our first parent-teacher conference that we came to know what a profoundly thoughtful, caring, and insightful person he was as well. His depth of character and exuberance for life and learning made his classroom a very special place. How incredibly lucky all his students were to have him as their teacher. Our sincere condolences to his family.
