Virginia Beach - Miguel Antonio Lopez Arellano went way to eternal rest on January 28, 2014. Miguel was the son of Antonio and Esperanza. Miguel is survived by Antinea Lopez Leon, wife, Christopher Michael, son, and Bianca Lopez, daughter. Surviving brothers and sisters are Jose, Josefina, Maria, Amelia, Martha, Mary, and Esperanza. Born on September 29, 1972 in Los Angeles, California, Miguel grew up in the restaurant business, becoming founder and owner of Hampton Road's based Plaza Azteca Restaurante Mexicano. Miguel was known and loved by friends and family along with many people in the community.
He enjoyed the finer things in life, quality time with family, cars, fishing, camping and road trips. In business he was "The Negotiator," effective thinker and official businessman." That exposure taught him about the industry hands on. You will find that successful, sustainable business people like Miguel maintain the highest standards of integrity because, at the end of the day, if you cannot prove yourself as credible then no one will do business with you. His honesty and integrity played an important role, and he never gave quick answers. His thinking and praying about his final decisions determined the outcomes. He used his team of resources, which were the people whom he had been friends with for a long time. Miguel admitted to his mistakes and owned up to any error made, offering solutions to correct it rather than lie about or blame others for it, or dwell on the problem itself. He will truly be missed, and we all thank God for giving us an angel we could call by his name "Miguel."

Mi padre me platicaba siempre de los viejos tiempos cuando trabajaban juntos en El Rodeo y La Carreta en el 90 cuando naci en el mismo hospital que tu hijo Chris en Roanoke. Nunca se me va a olvidar, tenia 16 yo cuando conoci a tu hijo Chris en Sanjose y nos dimos cuenta que nacimos en el mismo hospital. De ahi, fue cuando le pregunte a mi padre, y me contó sobre ti y me platico tu historia y sobre tu trayectoria. Sin duda, un espiritu de luchador. Me dolió al recibir la noticia de mis padres, ellos al igual están tristes. No sabia que eras primo segundo de mi madre. Les deceo fuerza a toda tu familia y conocidos. Protegenos a todos desde aya arriba. Nos dejas una lección a todos, el siempre estar alegres y tratar de ayudar al necesitado. Y por supuesto, que todo con mucho trabajo y dedicación, se puede lograr. Eras un buen role model para todos. Descanza en Paz Miguel.

You were a great man. I am so happy To have known such a talented kind man. You were always smiling and joking. The happiness you brought with you everywhere will be missed. I remember you being so sweet with my grandma at the dinner when Gonzalo propsed to me. I am so happy you shared such a special day with us. My condolonces to your family. REST IN PEACE MIGUEL LOPEZ!
