Roll Wave and Go Navy! Thank you for your service. Although I didn't know you, your life seems to have been mine in reverse. I grew up as the daughter of a Naval aviator, lived in Norfolk/Va Beach as a youngster while Dad was stationed there, then in Williamsburg while attending William and Mary, and after graduation, I moved to New Orleans to begin a PhD program at Tulane University. I have lived here ever since, working as the University Archivist at Tulane, right across from Audubon Park. I lost my father five years ago. He's buried in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, where he and my mother met and married while he was in flight school. The Blue Angels just happened to be training the day that he was laid to rest so their flyovers were a God-given sign to us. I hope that your family is similarly comforted in this sad time.
