HARLINGEN, TX.-
Efrain (Frank) Ambriz Sr., 58, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad Ambriz and Imelda Ambriz; and his brother, Rolando Ambriz.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dora Ambriz; his sons, Efrain (Ida) Ambriz, Orlando (Carla) Ambriz, and Gabriel Ambriz; his mother, Hilda Ambriz; his brothers and sisters, Nicolas (Guadalupe) Ambriz, Juan Ambriz, Gilberto (Maggie) Ambriz, Elisa Ambriz, Hilda (Adam) Ambriz Delgado, Jaime (Alex) Ambriz, and Jesus Alejandro Ambriz; his grandchildren, Aaron Ambriz, Ida Anne Ambriz, Ari Ambriz, Avery Ambriz, Gabriella Garcia, and Maya Ambriz; in addition to numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 9 at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park 26873 North White Ranch Rd. La Feria, TX 78559, on Wednesday July 18. Prayer Service will be held from 7p.m-8p.m.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2320 Haine Dr. Harlingen, TX 78550 on Thursday July 19, at 10 a.m. Internment to Follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park 26170 State Highway 345 San Benito TX, 78586.
Pallbearers will be: Juan Ambriz, Jaime Ambriz, Jesus Alejandro Ambriz, Efrain Ambriz, Orlando Ambriz, and Gabriel Ambriz.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heavenly Grace Funeral Home.

He was strict but always made it fun. A great man with integity and honor, worked very hard and was recognized for his skills and talents. Franky "Polo" Ambriz, as we called him, was a great man. His joyful, fun-loving personality will be greatly missed and live in our hearts and memories forever. I will miss his silly walk when he would walk in as if he was 10 feet tall and could take on the world. His crazy scamper when he was called into the company's president's office. I will miss our friendly insults towards each other. Me calling him "Little Dummy" and he calling me "Big Dummy". I will miss seeing him at the kitchen table in our break room cutting his lunch taco with his handy little knife. His stories of his grandchildren, for example one who would tell him "It's not for laugh!" Most of all, I will miss his smile and his giggle. We, all at J.V. Equipment, love and miss you Franky Polo, and will never forget you!
My most sincere condolences to his entire family, may his passing be comforting knowing that he was so greatly loved and appreciated by many.

I knew Frank very well and as his manager at Carter's and Ft. Brown Manufacturing, he was a great asset to both operations..I was both manager at Carters' then brought him to Ft. Brown when coming to Brownsville from El Paso..I called Frank to offer him a manager's position to run our screen printing operation..he did not hesitate to do so.. His work ethic was 2nd to none. I will always cherish his friendship and ability to do what it took to get the job done.. Rest in Peace Frank.. My condolences to his family, friends..
