SANTA ROSA, TX. --
Gabriel C. Olivarez, 67, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Harlingen, Texas.
He was born on May 26, 1947 in Santa Rosa, Texas to Alfredo Olivarez & Maria Lourdes Casanova.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and brother, Ezequiel "Zeke" Olivarez.
Gabriel is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, wife of 44 years, Estella S. Olivarez of Santa Rosa; children, Maria Lourdes Olivarez, Sylvia Olivarez, Yolanda Olivarez, Gabriel Olivarez Jr., & Cynthia Olivarez; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Jorge Olivarez, Reynaldo Olivarez, Gustavo Olivarez, Alfredo Olivarez Jr., Guillermo Olivarez, Elma Olivarez, Aracelia Romero Olivarez, & Irene Rojas Olivarez, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 from 11am-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Trinity Funeral Chapel at 10am with interment to follow to Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be George Olivarez, Raynaldo Olivarez, Alfredo Olivarez, Guillermo Olivarez, Eloy Olivarez, Eric Cavazos, Joseph Gonzales and Dario Mendoza III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sylvia Olivarez, Daniel Perez Jr., Arnulfo Romero III, Monica De La Torre, Raynaldo Perez, and George Olivarez, Jr.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 East Harrison Funeral Home Harlingen, Texas 78550 (956) 364-2444.
