Jose (Pepe) Gomez and I grew up on farms, working the cotton fields. It was a very humble time and upbringing. We both went to 1st grade and shared the same teacher in Placido, Texas, with a couple of other cousins. Spanish was our first language, and we quickly adapted to the English language. The farm we grew up in was like a small community of relatives, both from our mother's side and my father's side of the family.

Joe was sweet n love to tell jokes n make people laugh. It’s been years since I’ve seen him. He was my First Cousin. My Deepest Condolences to all his Girls n Grandkids n his brother n All His Sisters. Prayers for you All. Lots of Love. Wish I was There. But I’m back in Tn.
