Marnie was a dear friend and a great educator. I can still hear her lilting Southern drawl as she described the latest book she had read. We had many good times together teaching at STISD and going out after work between 1989 and 1994. The world was a better place because of Marnie! She will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Merrill's family. She was a wonderful teacher and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of being in one of her classes.

She was a very thoughtful person and would do anything for her kids in the classroom. I always looked forward to seeing her at school. She would always bend an ear for her Amy's Friends.
