Harlingen - Max "Bill" Johns of Harlingen passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 8, 2018.

He was born on September 28, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

Bill graduated from Manual High School and attended the University of Louisville. He was retired from the Marine Corp. in 1973, and from King Radio Corp. in 1986. On October 11, 1969 Bill married Nancy Loucks. She survives the home.

Bill enjoyed music, square dancing, traveling, & making people smile.

Farewell services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sunshine Country Estates.

Burial will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Marines Corps.

Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice or First Nazarene Church of Harlingen.
