I first met Charlie at the age of 8 when we were both in 3rd grade. We grew up together and remained close friends for nearly 50yrs.
We shared so much as we grew older: our love of the ocean and travel, our shared careers as professional pilots, getting married, raising our boys, fishing, good music, recent surf trips to Mexico and Costa Rica, funny instagrams, our daily Wordles, the finer points of excellent IPA´s and good reposado´s. We shared a lot and had so much in common. We chatted almost daily.
Charlie..........way too soon, way too soon.
You´re the the GREATEST guy, always so upbeat, always so positive. Always a great sense of humor. Never, ever had a bad word to say about anyone, ever. The greatest laugh and chuckle.
Always a twinkle in your eye and up for anything.
I love you brother
I miss you so much.

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to "Uncle" Charlie, a man whose infectious joy and boundless optimism touched everyone lucky enough to know him. Charlie had the rare ability to make even the hardest of days brighter with just the sound of his voice. His energy was magnetic, and his spirit unmatched. He was the very definition of positivity-someone who always found the silver lining, no matter the situation.
Whenever I feel myself slipping into negativity, I pause and ask, What would Charlie think? That simple question helps me shift my perspective and find strength. Uncle Charlie's influence on my life will forever resonate with me, and I will always strive to live in a way that honors the amazing person he was.
My heart is with the Thomas family, whom I love deeply, as we grieve the loss of such an incredible soul. Charlie, your legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering optimism will continue to inspire all of us. You will be missed more than words can express.
