Oxnard, CA

Arline Fay Sincoff, 90, of Oxnard, California, passed away on January 25, 2018, in Oxnard. Arline was born in Detroit, Michigan, to David and Gertrude Mitchell on April 17, 1927. She graduated from high school in Detroit. She attended Phoenix Junior College and Arizona State University, and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in History from UCSB. She knitting, sewing, reading, camping, and antiquing. She was an active in American Field Service and served as chairman for 1970-1971. She was a dedicated volunteer for Oxnard Friends of the Library and served as chairman for several years. Following her retirement, she and her husband, Joe, enjoyed traveling widely in the US and abroad. She is survived by her husband, Joe, of 70 years; children: Linda, Karen, and David; 5 grandchildren: Briana, Kurt, Jennifer, Ryan, and Eric; her great grand daughter, Ella; and her niece, Davita. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brother: Richard and Alan; and her sister, Bailey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oxnard Friends of the Library, 251 S. A Street, Oxnard 93030; or to Foodshare, 4156 S. Bank Road, Oxnard, 93036.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothill Road, Ventura. Arrangements are under the care of JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
