Christopher Michael Rogers entered this world on November 15, 1990 and entered into the heavenly realm to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on August 17, 2014. Our baby boy will always be remembered for his kind, sweet and thoughtful ways. Christopher, 23, was born in the San Fernando Valley and moved Simi Valley in 1995. In 2003 he moved to Thousand Oaks. Chris graduated from Thousand Oaks high school in 2008.
Chris attended many different churches seeking the word of God, but was attracted to specifically two. Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, where he helped on the tech team with camera and stage work and First Baptist Church in Thousand Oaks, where he helped on MANY occasions working with the kids during the weeknights and weekends. Chris took it upon himself to get baptized at Calvary Community Church on September 10th of 2006, inviting his Father Tony and his Brother Nick Rogers and their friend Shane Dreher to get baptized with him in this blissful event, which they all did. While attending Thousand Oaks high school, Chris excelled on the Lancers wrestling team, where he received many trophies and medals. Chris loved all sports. He was most fond of basketball, paintball, working out and wrestling. Since Chris was tall, strong and full of energy he could easily out maneuver most other players on the team in any sport that he was challenged with.
Chris had a beautiful gift for brightening any situation and turning it around, which had you literally on the floor in laughter. Chris did not like tosee others in pain and would reach out to them if he knew them or not. A great example of this is how he would take food to the homeless in the San Fernando Valley late at night.
Chris loved learning new things and traveling with his dad, mom and brother, most especially their motorhome adventures. He was especially adventurous when going to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He loved to hike, explore and devour the scenery of nature. He would fondly watch the bears, deer, and many other animals of nature. Nature is where Chris was in his element. Chris loved to go to Arizona with his family where he would go dirt bike riding and play on the Seadoo's on Lake Mohave. Chris was very social and had many friends out in Bullhead City, AZ. Chris loved attending the yearly Laughlin River run where he and his friends would walk around admiring all the bikes and booths.
Most recently Christopher attended ITT technical institute in Oxnard. Where he was working towards his Associates Degree in Computer Networking.
A celebration of Christopher's life was held on September 15, 2014 at the Village Church in Santa Clarita, California, the Church his great-grandfather, Pastor Jesse Perry established back in 1964. He was laid to rest at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in the garden of Zane Grey in Newhall California. Christopher is survived by his father, Tony Rogers, his mother Kimberly Rogers and his brother Nicholas Rogers. He is also survived by his fathers partner Michelle Spolidoro, grandparents, Don and Dorrie Rogers, grandparents Jos and Cheryl Lopez and his great-grandmother Datherine Reed, uncle Scott and aunt Lina Rogers, their children cousins Courtney and Joshua Rogers, the Montag family (cousins), Jeff, Lisa, Jesse, Brittney, Matthew, Benjamin, Uncle Kevin and aunt Debbie Lopez, their children and cousins Zeev and Savannah Lopez, Uncle Kirk Lopez and his children and cousins Paige and Jake Lopez, aunt Tiffany Lopez and aunt Megan Lopez. Christopher will be deeply missed by numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins from grandma Cheryl's family, the Morris' especially aunt Robin Morris and aunt Karen Nubel, grandma Dorrie's family, the Perry's and grandpa Don's family the Rogers as well as hundreds of friends, especially one of his best friend growing up Cody Grabowski.
In loving memory of Christopher Michael Rogers "God saw Chris getting tired and a cure was to not be, so he put his arms around him and whispered come with me, with tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we love him dearly we could not make him stay. A golden heart stop beating, hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the Best"!If you would like to know more about Christopher Michael Rogers, please visit his legacy page at https://www.facebook.com/ChristopherMichaelRogersWhenever Chris parted ways with his family and friends on the telephone or in person, he always said "Love You, God Bless". I am in complete shock and sadness. I knew Chris as a young man when my eldest child and I lived in the home of Kim, Nick and Chris! He was a fun and caring young man in the midst of growing into the man I am reading that he had become. My heart hurts for all, his mother, father, brother and the rest of the family. Please know that my thoughts are with you Kim and I couldn't even imagine what this must feel like. Please Kim, reach out "HUGS"

Our hearts are so deeply saddened. You are all in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Hold the beautiful memories Chris close to your heart. Stay strong, but know that it's ok to cry, for each tear is a note of love for Chris. We know that God has gained an Angel. In loving memory of Chris we say to you, “Love You, GOD BLESS”.

Dear Tony, Kim and Nick.. When I read on the paper today about Chris passing away, I was both shocked and saddened. your family has been in my thoughts and prayers all day..My heart aches for you, Kim, Nick and all Chris's family and friends.. I remember Chris and all his sweetness. Always Loving and affectionate, always having something positive to say even at the young age that I met and knew him. I can't say enough how sorry I am for your loss.. No words can be of comfort. Please, let me know if your family needs anything or if Kim just would like to talk...I am here for you..Rest in Peace Chris...God Bless you...warm hugs..Denyse Bierman 805 657 2139

I am so very sorry for your wrenching loss. I too lost my beautiful brother too young. I know it is daunting to convey what a special person the world lost in mere words and I was touched by your tribute to Michael. You all will be in my prayers and as he would say "love you, God Bless."
