Born in Sentow, Texas, October 3, 1921, passed away on June 5, 2013.
John served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He met his loving wife, Kathleen, of 67 years in Bell, Calif. They lived in Whittier, Calif., and then moved to Ucipa, Calif.
John had a plumbing business and decided to move to Thousand Oaks and open his business here. He opened in 1959. He built there home and served to Conejo Valley for 35 years as J.P. Robinson Plumbing & Belchiel Service.
His love for pigeons pushed him to start the first pigeon club in Thousand Oaks. He loved flying his birds and his pigeon club family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathlen; sons, Gary, David and John Daniel; daughter, Sharron Ann; sister, Vivian Ribera; grandchildren, Kara, Karissa, Suzanne, Tabitha, Scott and Craig; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Louise Blessing; niece, Randee Slay Spellman; nephew, Steve. He will be missed by many more family member and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 12, 2013, at Methodist church, 1000 E. Janss Rd., Thousand Oaks, Calif. 91360.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
