Roger Quirk

Roger Quirk died at the age of 92. He was born to Johanna and Kenneth Quirk September 10, 1927 in Cleveland, OH. Following High School, he enlisted in the USMC, doing part of his service in China. He attended Fenn College in Cleveland on the GI Bill and a swimming scholarship. Upon graduation he worked ten years in the Engineering Department of TRW. Then, he joined the ABEX Corporation Sales Department in Oxnard, CA retiring in 1987.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Dorothy. Roger leaves his wife Patti, of many years, sons Robert and wife Cathy of St. Clairsville, OH and their two children. Son Allen and his wife Cristina of Brea, CA and their six children and son David and wife Elizabeth of Lafayette, CA and their two children.

Roger spent a lot of time outdoors swimming, walking, playing tennis and fishing. His fishing took him from Canada through California and into Mexico.

On his walks with Patti, they always carried dog treats and they also took care of many birds and numerous cats. He enjoyed gardening in later years and provided tomatoes and roses to the neighbors. Volunteer activities included; Jaycees, High School Booster Clubs, Food Share, The Alzheimer's Society and the Ventura Maritime Museum. And, for over 50 years he belonged to the Masons.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, Camarillo, CA

Best Friends Animal Society, Kanab, UT.
