Rose Abbate Obituary

September 28, 1929 - December 17, 2014

Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY to James and Pauline Livolsi on September, 28, 1929. Rose passed away on December 17, 2014 in her home in Leisure Village, Camarillo CA. She married Emanuel F. Abbate on June 22, 1952, and is survived by her husband Emanuel Abbate, her children, Philip Abbate (Monica), Kathryn Voigtsberger (Karl), and James Abbate (Susan), her grandchildren, Lisa Rose Hudson, Joshua Abbate, Michael Abbate, Linda Rose White, Karen Nichols, Rachel Hemsath and ten great-grandchildren.

Rose was a bookkeeper until she had her first child. She then became the finest mother and homemaker, an excellent bridge player and golfer. Rose was very wise and was ready to give sound advice when asked. Rose was also a gourmet cook, specializing in Italian food.

Rose moved to Leisure Village in 1995 and loved living in Camarillo, CA.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at Padre Serra Parish at 5205 Upland Road, Camarillo, CA at 2PM on January 31, 2015.

Arrangements were made with the assistance of Griffin Family Funeral Chapels Camarillo (805) 482-1166.
