Sylvia Friedman Obituary

Feb. 24, 1921 - July 14, 2010 "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" Her absence will be missed but her legacy will be ever present in all who knew and loved her.

Beloved mother of Michael and Shulamit Friedman, Barbara Koutnik (Mel), Jeff and Debbie Friedman and Marc and Kathy Friedman. Proud and doting grandmother of Chezi (Shlomit), Lee (Sarah), Daniel (Paula), Michelle, Jessica, Rachel, Lauren, Gregory, Ryan, Kyle and Alec, and 10 great-grandchildren. Loving sister to Muriel (Harris) Kaplan and Stan (Gaile) Waco as well as aunt to numerous adoring nieces and nephews.

Sue treated each person with love and kindness; her light and spirit brightened every one she met and her spirit will live on through her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in her honor to The Sue Friedman Fund for Children at the Alliance of the Arts, 2100 East Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362 or Buena Vista Hospice Care, 143 Triunfo Canyon Road #103, Westlake, CA 91361 Attn: Bonnie Olson. Services will be held today, at noon at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.

Sad that my "mom" at the theatre is gone. Your love and hugs I received each time we met made me feel like one of your own children. Never one to complain, and always dressed to the nines, a very classy lady. Sue you are precious to me. Glad to have known you. Love, Madeline Libby
