Ventura - On Monday, February 17, 2020 beloved Taylor Otho Wright IV, loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, and dear friend tragically passed away at the age of 58 in Ventura, California.

Taylor was born on September 30, 1961 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Taylor (Bud) and Patricia (Boothby) Wright. Taylor was raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He graduated from La Lumiere High School in Laporte, Indiana, earned an Associate Degree from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois and a Bachelor of Aviation Maintenance Management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

After graduation, Taylor worked for Petroleum Helicopter Industries (P.H.I.) as a helicopter mechanic in Lafayette, Louisiana before P.H.I. transferred him to Santa Barbara, California. In 2001 Taylor joined friends as a partner for J Staal Enterprises and began his second career in the shipping container industry. At the time of his death, Taylor worked for Container Alliance headquartered in Santa Barbara, California.

Taylor loved an adventure and had a passion for sailing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, cooking and working with his hands. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Cubs. More than anything, Taylor enjoyed being around people. If you spent time with him you will remember his smiling face and happy demeanor.

Taylor is survived by his mother Patricia Wright, brother James (Darcy) Wright, sister Susan (Gil) Kuhrt, and his true love of over 18 years Natalie Albrizzio. He was preceded in death by his father Taylor (Bud) Wright III. Taylor leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and Natalie's son Deric Middleton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Ventura, California. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Victoria Pub and Grill in Ventura, California on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 1 - 4 pm.
