Terrence "Terry" Collins Adlard, 84, of Ventura died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, after a brief illness.
Terry was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Rocky Mountain House in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and had been a Ventura County resident for 53 years. He was a self-employed insurance adjuster, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and dearly loved animals.
Terry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Dorothy Adlard of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Fred Pierce of Salem, Ore.; sister-in-law, Nadine Churchill of Ventura; dear friend, Ruth Gagne of Ventura; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and cousins.
In May 2005, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Guyula.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, Ventura.
