I don't have a lot of in-person memories of Uncle bill, but I very much enjoyed reading his memoir. He was some tough kid!

So many wonderful things to say. Uncle Bill was my God Father and I would kiss his hand and say "Hello God Father", he would always smile. My husband Tony and I would sit there and listen to his stories for hours like to kids sitting in the library for story day. He and Tony would talk on the phone and both tell stories, they loved that. He was such a character. Tony and I will miss him very much. Tony was unable to attend his service and it saddened him. God Father, Tony and I will miss you very much.

I sure enjoyed visiting with Bill when I got the chance. I am very sorry to hear he is gone. I also enjoyed reading about his life in the writings he did which my mother had, and using his family research to do some myself. I just read the obit to mom and showed her the pictures. She does not talk much anymore but remarked how handsome he was in his uniform. Best wishes to all. Kelly McCoy

Wish I could be there for the memorial service, but I did see him this summer. What a treasured memory for me.
I loved my big brother dearly and he loved me as only an older brother could! That kind of love lasts through eternity. I will cherish my memories of him and our many times together until the day I see him again "in the sweet bye and bye".
