KATHY LARSEN Obituary

KATHY ANN LARSEN Kathy Ann Larsen was born April 29th 1962 while parents Elmeda Charboneau and Donald Conner were military stationed in Wichita Kansas. Both preceded her in death. Kathy's partner in life since 1998; Ryan Larsen, carried Kathy through until the end on November 8th 2024. Raised as a Baptist and a military brat in California. With a gleam in the eye Kathy would boast about her father secretly working on the Blackbird SR-71 during this time in life. Way young; her spunky personality began to shine. She held the craft of silliness performance. Marching around childhood home with an orange bowl on her head and constantly jabbering the ear off earned the nickname, Chatty Kathy. Never a dull moment in sight! Always entertaining sisters; Teresa (Ronnie) Bowels-Whom Kathy gathered strength from, Vicki Kinslow (Dave Stine) - Kathy admired for successfully working in tallest building in Dallas, and Shari McCarley. During grade school the family moved to Oklahoma. Small town Guymon never saw such fast talking; flare bottom pant wearing, California girls such as Kathy and cookie cutter looking sister Shari. While temporarily growing roots in Oklahoma, Kathy established a life long friendship with Kelly Voorheis. At this point both sons; Johnathan (Cindy) and Broc (Amber) Collinsworth were created. Kathy also partook in raising Terrina Gardner for a moment in time. Although life's tornadoes whirlwind; Kathy far away from birth in Kansas to Utah, she did find a guiding confidant named Dorthy. Who became her other mother who birthed Ryan and his brothers; Mark, Steve and Brent. Her very patient father-in-law David Larsen passed away in 2013. Kathy became an avid photographer from consistently taking pictures of loved ones. Specifically grandchildren; Lia Smith, Aspen, Brayden, Kahlen, Jeriden, Rylee, and Makaaya Collinsworth. Also blended family grandkids; Dakota, Jaydon, Emmarie and three great-grandkids. Their photos adorned all the walls, every nook and corner and lets not forget, her refrigerator! Traditional as mother Elmeda baking apple pie for her cake, Kathy hosted birthday dinners often times serving her famous fried chicken. Summer days were fun filled basking in the sun at the nearest watering hole. Always fishing and floating the Green River with grandchildren in tote. Rumor has it that years ago at Lake Ten Killer she crashed a boat. Good memories remain of Kathy's extreme Christmas Spirit. She continued to decorate, bake, and candy make until it looked as if Santa, himself puked in the house. Kathy's fiery traits brought six decades of wild child amusement to those who encountered her. Ryan often became lickety-split awestruck by Kathy's energetic craziness. One time while peacefully ice fishing a sled jumped a snow bank darting directly towards him. Ducking to take cover; he frantically looked up just in time to witness Kathy flying through the sky. Naturally, Ryan saved her when she crashed. Kathy's hippie style led the way in life. Motivating her to fight like a warrior with Courage, Grace, and Humor to survive during healing strife. Always Grateful for Dr. Gaffney and winning the hearts of nurses that stood by her side while being a medical miracle. Such as the voyaging hummingbirds who always came back to be nourished at Kathy's house in Jensen, she also journeyed returning to a Nurturing home; one of Spiritual nature. Yet, remember just like Kathy's favorite artist Stevie Nicks sings, "Time cast a spell on you, but you won't forget me".
