Randall Clark Obituary

Randall Clark Sgt. Randall "Randy" Dewey Clark passed peacefully May 24, 2023, at the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veteran's Home. Randy was born July 27, 1953, in Cedar City, to James "Ed" Edward and Venece Clark. He began his career with the Park Service at Yosemite National Park. He also worked at Zions and Capitol Reef national parks. He then moved to Vernal and worked at Dinosaur National Monument until his retirement. Randy served in the Utah National Guard for almost 20 years including a tour of duty in Iraq. He achieved the rank of Sergeant with the 1457th Engineers UTNG. He married Holly Sherrick March 18, 2000, in Vernal. In 2016, due to declining health, Randy needed full time care which he received by the wonderful staff at the Salt Lake Veteran's Home. Randy loved spending time with his family and took great pride in their accomplishments, often telling strangers about births, graduations or other family news. He enjoyed being in nature, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his two brothers. Randy was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Randy will be laid to rest in Springdale. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 6, at 6 p.m., at the Jolley-Gifford Cemetery, 221 Paradise Lane in Springdale. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Randy's behalf to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I was one of the many CNA´s who worked with Randall at the Veteran´s Home. He always wanted to chat and share his stories. He will be missed.
