Memorial service for John Wilfong, 79, of Roland, was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Mr. Wilfong was born on April 6, 1945, in Tulsa, to Lorene Agatha (Pell) Wilfong and Earl William Wilfong. He died on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in Vian.
He married Lynda Lee (Green) Wilfong on Aug. 13, 1965, in Charleston, Ark.
He owned and operated a successful home improvement sales and installation business, was a member of Central Christian Church, did volunteer work with Catholic Charities in Sallisaw, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors are his wife, Lynda; daughter, Misty Casher and husband Jesse of Muldrow; son, Jeremy Wilfong and wife Katina of Muldrow; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Shareen Pruitt and husband Alan of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers, Billy Wilfong and wife Jeanne of Fort Smith and Danny Wilfong and wife Janie of Norman; along with many other relatives and friends.
