Services for Rita Audine Fowler, 69, will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Sallisaw.
She was born on June 20, 1953, to Audrey and Bill Burke. She died on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Although Rita worked many years as a legal secretary, her legacy will live on through the unconditional love and loyalty she shared not only with her family, but anyone that entered her home or her life.
Survivors are her husband of 51 years, Joseph Fowler; two children, Jay Fowler (Melanie) and Daren Fowler (Erica); and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in her death by her parents.

Rita was as caring as you could ever ask anyone to be. She was sweet and genuine and beloved by so many. She will be missed.

Rita was a hoot. After stealing my big brother she shared her grandmother with me. That was how she won over a 6 year old-meeting them where they are and giving what they need the most-love. I cherish the fun we had. Miss you much.
