Services for Robert L. Buttrey, 74, of Vian, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Blackgum Baptist Church Gymnasium.
Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Buttrey was born on July 24, 1948, in Vian to Otis Buttrey and Cherokee (Houston) Buttrey. He died on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Vian.
He was an electrician for KG&E and pastor of Members in Christ Assembly in Vian.
He married Violet Alexander on Feb. 24, 1967, in Wichita, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Buttrey of the home; four daughters, Tammy Sue DeGraw of Atlanta, Kan., Kathy Lynn Matthew of Wichita, Kan., Bobbie Jean McHatten of El Dorado, Kan., and Kelly Kay Buttrey of Vian; one son, Michael Buttrey of Vian; three brothers, Buddy Buttrey of Sallisaw and Del Buttery and David Buttery both of Vian; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donald Buttrey.
