Brent and I were mission companions for a few months in England in 1985 and although we connected a few times after we returned home during trips up to Island Park, Idaho, at reunions in Salt Lake, and in the Provo area where my wife and I lived for a time, we probably had not spoken for the better part of 20 years maybe more. That’s what happens when you get busy with kids, education, work, etc. Over the past few years I’ve had multiple nudges to reach out to Brent to see how things are going, but just didn’t follow through. Sadly, it wasn’t until this evening (12/6/2020) that I made the effort and was stunned to find that he had passed away. It’s a poignant reminder to follow through with those promptings quickly as it may be your last chance to talk to an old friend. Brent, you were a great mentor to me and it made a big difference in my life. Sorry about not reaching out earlier. See you in act three. I express my condolences to his family.

Brent,
I will miss you much. You were a great friend for so many years. I appreciate all the Dodger vs. Padres banter we had for so so very very very long time. You were a great man. A great friend. You were one of the "Good Ones". You will be missed and not forgotten.
