Claudine Luisi Obituary

Claudine Luisi Claudine Luisi passed away July 4th 2012 at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Lena Bell Davis, two brothers Robert and Marvin Davis and one sister Laverna Cheaster and grandsons Dwayne, Carl Dean, Kevin Luisi and her husband Pete Luisi. Claudine was born in Carter, Oklahoma Oct. 23, 1917. She graduated high school in 1935 and moved to California in 1936. She met Pete Luisi a farmer and they were married in 1937. Pete and Claudine were married for 61 years until his death in 1998. She was a stay home mom but her life was very busy raising 3 children. Gardens were planted and canning began. Claudine and the family canned many quarts of beans, corn, pickles, tomatoes sauce, peaches, peach pickles (Which the family all loved) and many others. She was a member of the Moose and the Sons of Italy. She loved fishing at Morro Bay, knitting, needle point, bowling and bridge. She also did other crafts. She is survived by her younger sister Joy Leteral of Moscow, Idaho, Mary DeChance and husband Phill See of Visalia, sons Arnold Luisi of Arroyo Grande, CA., Frankie (Frank) Luisi and wife Valerie of Visalia. Eight grandchildren: Robert (Jill) Dechance of Visalia, Roger( Brenda) Dechance of Nacogdoches, Texas, Ron Dechance of San Jose, CA, Renee (David) Barnes of Yakama, WA, Darrell (Edi) Luisi of Louisville, KY, Darren (Mary) Luisi of Bolder Creek ,CA, Shanna (Robert) Wagner of Indiana and Dion Luisi of Indiana; six great grandchildren: Tyler Dechance of Visalia, Brett and Justin Barnes of WA, Jessica and Kandice Luisi of North Carolina, and Chase Wagnereof Cumberland, Indiana. Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 3pm until 6pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10:00am at the Visalia District Cemetery. Arrangements by Miller Memorial Chapel.
