We will miss the Greatest Grandpa ever. For some it will be the hot cocoa with cool whip, some will be proud to carry on his name, some will miss hearing the basketball stories, and for the youngest it will be the lassoing of the foot stool with his oxygen tubing! But we will all be proud that we were almost as pretty as Grandpa! Most of all we all agree we will miss the smiles and hugs we got when we came to visit. As Noah said, "God bless Papa Jim. I love Him." That's how we all feel, and can't wait to play with him again in Heaven.Love Your Great-Grandchildren

James Wilson was a competitor; a winner at whatever he was doing.Whatever he did, he expected to be the best.Whatever he was selling, he expected to be top salesman. As a manager,he expected the salesmen he managed to do their best.If you wanted a job done right, you called 'Big Jim'.
I never had the pleasure of working for or with him, but I did play cards with him.He expected to win every game he played.Even with his mind failing,he
won the last 4 games of cards he played. He left this life a winner - in
ALL things!!!

Sometimes when I talk about Grandpa I cry a little. But Grandpa has taught us lots of memories.Happy memories, funny memories; and we should never forget about him.
And you know how sad we are right now? Well, we should split that sadness in half and throw half of it away - cuz we all know that someday in Heaven we will be with him again.

It's been one month since my boyfriend of 57 years went on to Heaven without me.God walks me through each day as I learn this new life of living alone.
I miss James every day, but he left me with a wonderful family, loving friends and so many priceless memories.Soon I will join him at our final address.Time passes so fast, it will be in the blink of an eye.
God bless you all...Glenda

James was always very special to me. He was my protector growing up. When I was little in Arkansas I would always wait up for him so he could tell me about the movie he saw or the party he went to. He was always playing pranks on me, which didn't always sit well with mom. She would tell him he was scaring me, which was sometimes true, but usually he made me laugh. I always looked up to him and valued his opinion very much. I always admired him for the way he conducted himself in his private life. I miss him so much and love him so very much. Your forever loving sister Marie.

The day I met Jim Wilson which was only about three years ago, I fell in love with him and his beautiful wife gland. They engulfed me with love and caring immediately. Gary and I spent as much time as possible with him the last year and every time was more special than the last time. We laughed and joked, shared stories, ate and just enjoyed being together. Je showed me the way back to my roots as a Christian for which I will ever be grateful. I love this man so much and am so proud to call him my friend and father-in-law. I will never forget him! Thank you to the Lord for bringing this wonderful family in to my life. I found a home! I love and miss you so much. Thank you for loving me!!

The first time I spotted him,he and his wife had just parked his hay truck for the night,in Petaluma,California. As soon as I saw them I knew, they were crazy in love; and that love eminated out from them, touching everyone they met.I asked God, He said yes, and 9 months later I was the 1st of the Wilson Wolf Clan to be named after my Daddy. And I've always worn my name with pride because he was someone to be proud of. Yes,he was the "Man in my Life".And I was his "Princess";his "Darlin' Daughter".I miss him so much.
His greatest legacy are the ones he leaves behind - a whole tribe of us who have been taught by their example how to love deeply and freely and joyfully.I know he had faults, but he taught us all to say that he was like Mary Poppins -"practically perfect in every way".When he would get lucky,he would say "that's cuz my mama said I was special cuz i was born with a veil over my face".Remember these? Then yesterday it dawned on me that he's gonna make us keep singing his song whenever we talk about him; cuz they laid him to rest "in a hole in the ground, and the green grass growed all around". Keep 'em laughin' and singing Daddy. I Love You Forever.

Dear James, Just a few lines to let you know you was my son.I could never have had a better one.I look back on the many years you were part of my life. Not just a son-in-law, but my son.
We enjoyed lots of fun golf games. You and Glenda would visit us in Montana.Every morning you and I would set out sight-seeing and get our breakfast at McDonald's to eat by the river as we visited. One of these mornings we drove to Stevensville while sight-seeing.I decided I wanted to play golf. You didn't dress for golf that morning, so you played golf in your house shoes and shorts. We enjoyed that game so much.
I hated living up here in Montana, so far from you.You guys made trips up here and we made trips there. That all helped some.
Now you have gone to a better place, where we all hope to go someday.I know God is pleased to have you in His Heaven. My dear Jim, I miss you and I love you so much...Daddy

Jim was a very special man who found his soul mate, Glenda, and loved her with all his heart. We were blessed to have been a part of his life and family. His love for the Lord was evident every day of his life. Jim was the real thing - caring, honest, and always with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. You knew he cared for you when he greeted you with a big bear hug. Frank loved doing projects with him on his trailer and the day often ended with a card game which Jim usually won. Boy, could he count the cards. We will remember his many stories, his family both near and far, and his unending love for mankind. We know he is with God, pain free and sharing his stories in heaven and we look forward to joining him some day. We were proud to be his friend and brother. Love you.

MY COUSIN MARRIED JAMES AND HE BECAME MY COUSIN. HIS CHRISMIA SPREAD TO EVERYONE HE WAS NEAR. THEIR RELATIONSHIP TRULY WAS "ONE". BOTH HAD INVITING LAUGHS AND WARM HUGS. I LOVED LISTENING TO JAMES TELL HIS STORIES WHILE LAUGHING AS HARD AS I WAS AND BEAMING IN A SMILE THAT LIT UP THE ROOM. HE ADORED GLENDA JO, LOVED HIS CHILDREN, GRAND CHILDREN AND GREATS AND HIS FATHER IN LAW, TERRY COPPINGER AND MOTHER IN LAW LUCILLE. A STAR HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE HEAVENS AND A LOSS TO THE EARTH. LOVE YOU CUZ (PAT AND CLAUDE VICE, TULARE, CA.)

I don't really know how to talk about my grandpa without sounding redundant. I think he knew better what mattered in life than a lot of us ever will. I think love was his biggest priority. I'll always remember reading him Disney stories in his big blue van while grandma ran errands. I will never forget the image of him standing up and dancing around the living room whenever "Man of Constant Sorrow" started playing. I loved every history lesson. I'll remember every story. One day, I'll write a book for this man, but for now I'll just tell his story. He was the greatest man I've ever known, and I'm proud to be his candy princess.

Today I miss My Father as much as the Moment that He Left us. I Know that it should be getting Easier with each passing day, but I don't think I'll ever be the same without Him here with Me. Everyday, I would call and talk to Him... Get His Advice, Listen to His Stories... Laugh With Him. Where do I Call now??? His Number is Disconnected. Where do I ask For Advice Now? I'm Making Dicisions without His Guidance. How Do I Laugh... Without His Laugh Back with Me? My Dad is Gone now... I'm So SAD, I'm So ALONE. He was Not just My Father... He was My Friend, and A PART of Me. I Love You Dad... I Miss You. I'm Proud that I always got to Write... Your Son Gary at the End of All the Cards And Signitures during Your Life... I was A Very Proud Son ! Man I Miss You Dad... Man Oh Man I Miss You Bad. I Love You Still. Your Proud Son Forever and Ever and Ever... Gary

Knowing Jim, Glenda and the daughter they raised has been a high point in my life. His goodness and love was a warm blankey in a world too often cold. Once we painted an apartment together, and I hold that day close, a forever memory of laughter, song and gentle humor. I think he had the best seat in the house for Josh's wedding -- free of pain, wrapping the grandson he adored in the warm blessing of his love. He lived his entire life "brightly, brightly and with beauty."

in our lives we meet alot of good people, but we only meet a few great people. jim wilson is on my great people list!!! I have known jim around 20 years and we had the opportunity to work together at the car lot in tulare. i really enjoyed listening to jims car lot stories and i will never forget his smile and laugh. when jim felt good about something and he smiled it made my spirt feel good, the room would feel electric. jim is a really good example of how we should love people unconditionally. i have learned a lot from jim and i will always remember him and i want to do things right so i can see jim again in heaven. my prayers are that god will comfort all of us during this time of sorrow. peace and health be with all of jim's family. with love, chris beck

My heart breaks each time I think that I will never get my Uncles great hugs or hear his wonderful laugh. I will miss telling him that I was his favorite niece. We all know that there was no favorite, that each of us was equally loved and cherished by him. Anyone who was ever around him felt his love for them. Throughout my life I would talk about Aunt Glenda and Uncle James and I always described them as Angels that God placed on this earth to watch over all of us. God placed together a perfect pair, both loving, caring and giving of their time and affections. Now heaven has one of his Angels back watching over us and loving us from above. Aunt Glenda, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I love you so much and appreciate all the love you have always shown me. Terry, Jamie, Joey and Gary, my prayers are with each of you as you go through this difficult time. Always and forever I will be here for you.

To Glenda and all the family, We will miss Jim's smile and true southern accent and style. Jim was a very special person, so honest and straight forward and caring in everything he did and said. He will be so missed. Glenda, our deepest sympathies. We know you have lost your soul mate, you're in our thoughts and prayers. I think of the song "son, your work on earth is done". Glenda and Family - I've lost a good friend who was more like a brother to me. He spent many a days and nights at my folk's house when we were growing up. We fished and rode horses and he always talked about old spot. We played basketball and I even got to see him play in California when I visited so many years ago. I'll miss those long phone calls. "Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
Grandpa is the greatest man I've ever known. He taught his family to live life honestly and honorably. We know that God has prepared a place for him in Heaven, but some of us weren't ready to see him go. Although I'm left brokenhearted, Grandpa also taught us all to have faith and believe in the promises of God..." And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain , for the former things have passed away." Rev 21:4 His is the kingdom of Heaven now. Its our turn to live the life he taught, and one day we will get to hug him again. I will miss him forever.

Dear Glenda and Family, my love and prayers are sent to all of you knowing that you will see James again one day. I find it hard to comprehend the last few weeks you all have had to bear, the only comfort comes from knowing where your loved ones abide with our heavenly Father and the Family of God. What a comfort you have been to each other and to all of us who love you all. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers and please know how much we love and admire you all. Hugs to you all, Linda Welch Gipson
