Joe Holguin Obituary
Visalia - Joe Holguin Jr., better known as "Ivanhoe Joe" passed away at home on February 7, 2018 at the age of 71. Joe was born September 21, 1946 in Visalia to his parents Joe and Christina Holguin for which he was #1 of ten children. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Christina, his son Baby Holguin, his sister Karen and brother Richard.
He served two years in the United States Army and served a year in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he went back to work for Willits Pump Company as a pump installer. Also was a DJ that you may remember "Mighty 90 Oldies station".
In 1988, he was reunited with his high school sweetheart, Cyndy Ellis; they then married and enjoyed 28 ½ years together. Joe loved fishing, motorcycles, cars, any casino he could find, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Cyndy, his children Joe Holguin, Wendy Holguin, Johnny Parks, Misty Youngman (Hans), Trisha O'Dell, Suzanne Cook (Jim), 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way, Brothers Danny Holguin (Joyce), Paul Holguin, Alfred Holguin (Connie), Jimmy Holguin (Maria), Sisters, Susan Delgado, Sylvia Flores (Joseph) and Christy Holguin.
A celebration of life will take place at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 609 W. Center, Visalia, CA on February 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.

So sorry for your loss I remember when I work at the radio Joe and Charlie were a hand full one thing Joe always had a way to make you smile when you were down.Joe always had a smile on his face. He will be missed God bless his family.Ride that Harley to the heavens Ivanhoe Joe.

Joe, it seems impossible that you are gone. The memories are flooding my mind as I remember growing up around Houston Avenue. Running around causing mischief as we went...the confrontations in elementary school. I praise God that I can still remember those times. Reuniting years later after you married Cyndy and moved down the street. My one regret is that I never got to ride my motorcycle with you and Cyndy. We love you and will miss you but the memories will never cease. If there are cars in heaven I know you will be in charge of working on them...

Knew Joe for many years and always had a big smile on his face and a joke or two to share. Joe was a happy person. Enjoyed his friendship and time spent with his family. I'm saddened by his passing and hope that Cyndy and the Holguin family will forever remember his kindness and humor. He'll be sorely missed.
