Maria Ferreira Pimentel

Maria F. Pimentel was born to Antonio and Francisca Machado in Feteira, Terceira, Açores on December 6, 1930 and entered eternal life on April 10, 2010 in Tulare, CA. On January 11, 1952, she married Francisco Pimentel in Feteira, Terceira, Açores. In 1967, the couple and their three daughters immigrated to the United States. Maria loved spending time with her family, sewing, and crocheting. She had a deep faith in God. Maria is survived by her two daughters Yvonne Cotta, Nellie Silva both of Tulare, one son in law Manuel Borges of Modesto, eight grandchildren Yvette Wills and her husband Larry of Nipomo, Paul Borges and his wife Darlene of Modesto, Denise Silva and her finance Jeff of Tulare, Johnny Cotta of Tulare, Jeanette Borges of Tulare, Melissa Sumpter and her husband Steven of Tulare, Julieane Borges of Modesto, Frankie Cotta of Tulare, five great grandchildren, one brother Alvaro Machado and his wife Lidia of Hanford, sisters in law Yvonne Machado of Hanford, Bernadette Machado of Escalon, Lena Machado of Corona, one brother in law Joe Pimentel and his wife Francisca of Elk Grove, Several nieces and nephews. Maria is preceded in death by husband of 44 years Francisco Pimentel, her daughter Fatima Borges, parents Antonio and Francisca Machado, three brothers Frank, Joe, Antonio Machado, and two sons in law John Cotta, Manuel Silva. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North "H" Street, Tulare, CA. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, CA. with burial at Tulare District Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
