Rebecca Rae Renfro left this life on Sunday, October 8, 2017, to join her heavenly family after complications from surgery.

Rebecca Rae Hughes (Becky) was born, a twin, in Tulare, CA, on March 2, 1954 to Thomas and Ellen Hughes. She was one of seven children. Becky attended Oak Valley and Palo Verde Elementary Schools and Tulare Western High School.

After high school, Becky married and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Laura and Sara, and her love for them was truly inspirational. She was a very active mom with both girls during their school years and in 4-H and FFA. Two of Becky's passions were reading and animals. She loved a good book, and she was a soft touch when it came to stray animals. For many years she would try to keep them all!

In 2003, Becky married Rick Renfro and became Step-Mom to 3 more children with this union. Her family was her most cherished treasure and she spent the rest of her life devoted to their support and happiness. Becky always had a smile for everyone and was very loved by all who knew her. For Becky, family was EVERYTHING.

Becky worked for several years as a caregiver for the elderly and she was so well liked by her clients that they very quickly became her friends. She will be missed by so many.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ellen Hughes, two brothers, Roy and Phillip Hughes, a sister, Sandra Hughes, and her step-daughter, Melissa Dauray.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Renfro of Oceano, her daughters; Laura Smith (Scott) of Fresno, Sara Gulino (Rick) of Arroyo Grande, Cindy De Leonardis (Vito) of Visalia, and a son, Chris Renfro of Pixley. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Abigail and Jake Smith, Richard Paul and Sofia Gulino, Olivia and Dominic DeLeonardis, and James and Gavin Dauray. She is also survived by her sisters, Glenna Sanders (Marvin), Pam LeGette (Bud), and her twin sister, Callie Tripp (Don), all of Tulare, her aunt, Gladys Hughes, of Tulare, and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Arrangements are entrusted to Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 East Kern, Tulare, on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 9:00 am with refreshments at Meitzenheimer Community Center, 830 South Blackstone, Tulare, immediately following the service.
