Ronald Bixler Obituary
Visalia - Ronald Bixler, 81, died September 29th in his home in Visalia, CA. The family held a private Celebration to honor his life.
Ron was born on July 3, 1937, in Tulare, CA, to Elmer and Melva Bixler. He was a farmer in Tulare for nearly 70 years, on a family-owned dairy farm. He married his sweetheart, Deborah Jameson, on February 17, 1973. Together they raised 4 sons and 3 daughters. Ron was a member of the Tulare County Sheriff's Posse and competed in Team Roping for over 20 years. He officially retired in 2009 and moved to Visalia, where he and Debbie involved themselves with both the Tulare and Visalia Senior Centers. At that time, he discovered his love for international travel and enjoyed tinkering with projects around the home. He passed on his love for fishing to all of his grandchildren.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborah Bixler, his children, Scott Bixler (Michaela), Michael Bixler (Annette), Richard Bixler (Jennifer), Rebecca Bustos (Anthony), Nicole Swanson (Shane), and Kristine Borba (Joseph), his 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Bixler, and 2 great-grandchildren.
