As a child and adult Roy lived in Woodlake, California. There he spent most of his time on the Family's cattle ranch and Pack Station in Mineral King. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War where he became a combat veteran serving with the 7th Division, 32nd Infantry Reg. Company C. He was honorably discharged in 1960. In 1957 he met and married his wife Donna. He worked for the Sequoia National Park Service as a lead packer and maintained a cattle ranch during the winters.
Roy enjoyed skiing, the mountains, family, and telling stories. He dearly loved his church family and served as a ruling elder of the Woodlake Presbyterian Church for many years. He actively participated in many organizations within his community, especially those programs benefiting youth. He was also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Fresno State University.
Roy is survived by his wife, Donna Davis along with their two children, Beth Spuhler and Kyle Davis and six grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his eldest son Mitchell Davis in 1976.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the "Roy Davis Memorial Fund," Woodlake Presbyterian Church.

Dearest Donna,
Gard and I had such fond memories of you and Roy. I often recall all the times you and I shared knitting patterns together. Thanks also for all the donated time you and Roy spent with our Gayle and the horses in 4-H. Those times were so important to her life. My Love and prayers are with you.- Fran

I have many great memories of Roy Lee skiing on baldy at wolverton,always smiling and friendly,and occasionally a coor's in his back pocket for an after noon break.
