Helen Pike Obituary
Orford, NH - Helen M. Pike, 90, died on Friday, October 6, 2023, at home with family at her side. She was born in Wentworth, NH on June 1, 1933, to Ralph and Gladys (Cutler) Marsh. She grew up in Orfordville and married Weymouth Pike Sr. in September 1950. She owned and operated the Brookside Store in Orfordville for many years. She worked at Hanover Terrace, private housekeeping, and caring for others throughout the area. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, cooking, and baking. She was famous for her outstanding Christmas cookies. Her most loved hobby was spending time with her family and taking care of the children. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Weymouth, 1989, her son James "Jimmy" Pike, 1975, a granddaughter Melissa Fields, her brothers Elwin Marsh, Floyd Marsh, sisters June Garret, Freda Parker, and Mary Taylor.
She is survived by her son Weymouth "Joe" Pike Jr. and wife Susan, Fairlee, VT; daughters Gloria Daisey, Orford, NH, Bonnie Madigan, Orford, NH, Faye Wurtz, Bradford, VT, Judy Franklin, Orford, NH, Joanne Morey, Orford, NH; siblings, Danny Marsh, N. Haverhill, NH, Juanita Schwartz and her husband George, Orford, NH, and Wanda Tombleson; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces
nephews cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank Bayada Hospice for their kind care of Helen and would like donations in lieu of flowers to The Bayada Foundation, 316 Main St. Unit EH-6, Norwich, VT 05055
There will be a graveside service on Friday October 13, 2023, at 11AM at West Cemetery in Orford, NH.
