George Berletich Obituary

George Berletich
George J. Berletich, 77, a resident of Barstow, passed away on Dec. 20, 2007. Originally from Alliance, Ohio, he moved to Barstow to live with his son and family.
He was honorably discharged from both the Army and Air Force, receiving the Japan Occupation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Svc. Medal with Arrowhead, Four Bronze Svc. Stars, and Parachutist Badge. He was also a member of the Buckeye Chapter 187th Airborne Rakkasans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marko and Mary Berletich, brothers, John, Frank, Mark, and Nick, and his special companion, Diane Hess.
He is survived by his sons, John Berletich of Yucaipa, Mike Berletich of Cherry Valley, George Berletich of Barstow, and Tim Berletich of San Bernardino; grandchildren, Stacey, Eric and Zaccaria; sisters, Cathryn of Ohio and Barbara of Ohio; brother, Steve of Ohio; twin sister, Maryann of Florida; extended family of Susan Crist and her family of Ohio; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Jan. 7, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. at staging area 8.
