Dear Mike:
You were an inspiration and a motorcross god send. You were excellent at what you did, and showed all of us that with hard work and dedication, we really can be who and what we want to be. I think your style was off the chain, and I enjoyed watching your stunts! I was one of the many lucky ones who went to both Jr High and High School with you. We are all going to miss you soooooo much and miss your style. I am sad that you had to go so soon, but god must have needed his ANGEL back, so may you forever rest in peace, and may you always look over and protect your family, now you will be not only everyone's hero, but guardian angel also. My condolences and greatest sympathy goes out to you and your family always, and I will keep all of them, and your colleagues, and your so many friends in my prayers. You will be missed greatly, but never forgoten. Your legacy will LIVE ON!! Unfortunately I was not able to attend your service, although I really did try, but just couldn't get down there, because I am in NOR CAL. I hope the service was just as beautiful as I imagined it, to be, and am so glad they put bikes there and did one last ride for you!! May you just be in your final resting place free of pain, and heartache. God Bless. So glad I got the opportunity to have you in my life just like everyone else. AVJHS and AVSHS will always remember you, ALWAYS. In the words of BOYS II MEN, "IT IS SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE! To what we had, the good times and the bad, and to be the sunshine after the rain." Life really is too short. May this be a lesson to everyone: To not take one single moment for granted, as tomorrow is not promised. If you love somebody tell them , no matter what, never look back wondering what you should have said or did. Life is the REAL DEAL, there are no dress rehearsals, deleted scenes or cuts, or do overs, this is it, LIFE is SHOWTIME!!...SHOWTIME!! And we only live ONCE.~Alexis M. Torres, Cameron Park, CA

"TIME TO GO"-Written by: Alexis M. Torres

His voice calls upon me so fast, as I slowly drift on to the past. Where I can lay forever asleep, and will be guided everywhere I may leap. To explore new places and see new ways. I know now this is the end of my days. I cry for help, because I am in great fear , then he turns to me and wipes away every shedded tear, and says, don't be scared. For you are going because it is time, not because you are dared. My time here is all complete. I must go now to a place of eternal retreat. So please don't cry and mourn for me. Instead smile and be happy, because where I have gone is a much better place, you'll see. Just remember I'll be here watching over you, helping you to get well and guiding your heart in whatever it wants to do. I say goodbye and wish you well, for it is now time to part. Don't forget I love you, with all my heart. One day we'll meet again, face to face. But until then go on to finish the race. Alexis M. Torres..RIP CINQ'

Much respect is due Mike and his greatness on his motorcycle. Mike changed the way that people saw bikes and changed the way that other pros hoped to control theirs.

Mike was a style master and was looked up to by all who wanted to ride dirt bikes.

Although we were not close I had the opportunity to announce his 2nd place run at the first ever X-Games moto event, work on 1000 mile jump with him and sponsor him when I was at MCD. Today Deegs, Twitch and I spoke of and thought of Mike and are bummed that we can not be there to pay respect as we are all obligated in Elsinore on the same day as Mike's service.

As I told Mike's sister, I just hope that Cinq is roosting the pearly gates with Pierce, Jones, Lusk and Thiel, all riders who checked out before their time but who all shared the love of airing out dirt bikes.

GOD Speed Mike

Hey Mike we were more like aquaintances than friends but I will always remember the way we all used to laugh when we all gathered at the Lavorci's house. Good times, great friends, now great memories! May God bless your family in their time of sorrow, but help them to know the freedoms of the other side of the gate. R.I.P Mike

I dont even know where to start. I considered Mike as one of my brothers. He was best friends with my brothers Timmy and Billy. You could not take them apart from eachother. He was a pain in the butt like the rest of them. They all had so many good times together, I have alot of stories I could tell. Mike was very great at what he did, so Mike you keep it going strong with the angels. I love you bro and deeply miss you. I remember just the other day when you came to my house to see me, woke me up in the middle of the night cause you hadnt seen me in years, I was shocked but I will never forget what you told me Mike. It will stay between just me and you. I love you and you keep riding with those angels. You will always be in my heart. Love you brother!!!!

I have so many great memories with Mike over the years! He was like an older brother to me in many ways! I remember rollin to motorcross events and clubin together with him for years, having the time of our life!! Going to Mike and Lillie's house in the summer for pool parties, and of course watching Mike do incredible things on a motorcycle I had never seen. I recall going with Nick and Timmy down to Arrowhead hospital many times to visit him after his accident, even in his lowest moment he was always a positive and upbeat dude! I always looked up to Mike, he was the type of guy that was good at everything he tried, which made me try to better myself that much more. I will hold our memories inside of me forever and will miss him till we meet again! Love you bro!
