Robert Bledsoe Obituary
On Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, Robert Franklin Bledsoe, 49, passed away after fighting a life-long battle with Eisenmenger's Syndrome, a rare heart defect. Robert was born in San Fernando, Calif., on Dec. 13, 1961 to Barbara (then Bledsoe) and Cliff Bledsoe. He was raised in Barstow, but lived most of his adult life in San Diego. With the help of wonderful physicians, namely Dr. Harold Shively, his cardiologist for nearly 30 years, he was able to live a full and happy life.
An unceasing jokester, he was quick to lighten a heavy mood and was always the life of the party. He founded Gator Plumbing and Drain Service, which continues to serve San Diego County today. Through his business he met and formed lasting bonds with scores of friends and was known for his outgoing nature.
He is survived by his wife, Armida Bledsoe; her children, Cynthia and Sebastian; his mother, Barbara Rucker; his siblings, Ed Rogers (his wife, Terry and their children Doug, Steve and Dwayne), Sam Rogers (his wife, Tshea and children Amanda and Andy), Myra Roberson (her children, Bart, Sam, Krystle and Kim), Zola Parker (her children, Erica, April and Josh, and her husband, Don), as well as countless friends.
He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services in Robert's honor will be held in San Diego on Feb. 19, 2011 at San Diego Mission Valley Resort, 875 Hotel Circle South at 11 a.m. and in Barstow on Feb. 26, 2011 at Hampton Inn, 2710 Lenwood Road at 1 p.m.
