Gloria Gray Obituary

Gloria Gray, 71, passed away at her home on Aug. 10. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch- Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Robert L. Kincl officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery. Gloria was born in Ft. Wayne, Ind. on Feb. 18, 1935, to Connie and Walter Stogdill. She graduated from Waco High school in 1953. She was co-owner of Waco Welders Supply Company and also worked at Security Products. Gloria was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was on the school board of Reicher High School and was active in the St. Mary's Women's Guild. She was also an avid crossword puzzler, an outstanding cook and loved a good book. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Rondy Bruce (RB) Gray; and two brothers, Walter (Gus) Stogdill and Mike Stogdill. Gloria is survived by her husband, Rondy T. Gray, who she married on March 14, 1954; son, M. David Gray of Waco; daughters, Katherine Sue Brock and husband, Bill of Crawford, Marilyn Marie Rovira and husband, Rafael of Vallejo, Calif.; sisters, Patty Davis of Houston, Judy Goodnight and husband, Fred of Dallas and Nancy Stogdill also of Dallas; grandchildren, Russell Gray and wife, Teresa of Baltimore, MD., Jason Brock of Waco, Derik Brock of Nacogdoches, Texas, Kristen Gray of Dallas and Harrison W. Gray of Waco. The pallbearers are James R. Hawkins, James E. Bush, Mark Hill, Rodney Kroll, Mike Perry and Gary Young. The honorary pallbearers are Bill Miller, Paul McClinton, Rickey Adair and Tommy Salome. A special thanks to the nurses of Providence Hospice.
