Aug. 14, 1978 - March 5, 2023
Nicholas John Ebertz Sr., 44, of Waco, TX, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor David Cozart officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, March 13, at the funeral home.
Nick was born August 14, 1978, to John and Lana Ebertz. He was born and raised in Devils Lake, ND. Nick worked at the City of Waco, solid waste department for 23 years. He was stubborn and hard-headed but also had a kind and generous heart and would help anyone in need. He loved to go mudding.
Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nick and Violet Ebertz; maternal grandparents, Phillip and Donnie Burgard; uncles, Mike Ebertz, Jim Burgard; and aunt, Katherine Rasmussen.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Brooks; children, Nicholas Ebertz Jr. and Haley, Phillip Ebertz and Cristina, Kali Ebertz and German; granddaughter, Adriana Marie Ebertz; father, John Ebertz; mother, Lana Murphy and step-father, John Murphy; brothers, Dominic Ebertz and wife, Missy, Jonathan Ebertz, Jon Murphy and wife, Michele, James Murphy and wife, Melissa, Robert Murphy; sister, Dawn Stokes and husband, Ryan; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
