Charles "Chuck" D. Reisen, 90, of Ashland, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Oxbow Living Center in Ashland.
He was born August 18, 1934 in Ashland, to Charles and Janice (Laughlin) Reisen. Chuck graduated from Ashland High School in 1952. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Korean War. On April 11, 1959, Chuck was united in marriage to Janice Proffit at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ashland. He worked many years as a project manager for the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Chuck was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ashland and American Legion Post #129, where he served as a past commander. His favorite hobbies were golfing and fishing. He was a member of the Cornhusker Fly Fishers. He also was an avid fan of the Huskers and Royals.
He is survived by children, Rod (Lauri Struve) Reisen and Renee (Brett) Linder; grandchildren, Matthew Reisen, Amy Reisen, Aspen Reisen, Jacob Reisen, Morgan Linder, Collin Linder, Dylan Linder, Benjamin Reisen, Kaitlyn Reisen and Anna Reisen; daughter-in-law, Christy Reisen; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Beckman; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Reisen; son, Rick Reisen; grandson, Christian Linder; parents, Charles and Janice Reisen; brother, Gerald Reisen; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Reisen.
Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, April 12, 2025, 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1625 Adams St., Ashland. Celebrant, Fr. Robert Matya. Visitation, Friday, April 11, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m., with 7 p.m. Rosary, at Marcy Mortuary, Ashland. Interment at Ashland Cemetery to follow. Military Honors by U.S. Navy & American Legion Post #129.
