Jacqueline Hladik Obituary

VALPARAISO – Jacqueline J. Hladik, 69, of Valparaiso, died May 27 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln.
Jacqueline was born on Jan. 3, 1938 to Frank and Martha (Svoboda) Dolezal in Greeley, Colo. She graduated from Dwight Assumption High School in 1955.
On April 30, 1956 she was united in marriage to John Hladik. They lived at Schofield United States Army Base in Hawaii where John was stationed the first 18 months of their marriage. They returned to the Valparaiso area to their farm where they lived until retiring and moving into Valparaiso in 1996. Jackie worked at the University of Nebraska for 15 years.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Sts. Mary and Joseph Altar Society, Red Hat Ladies, she was a former member of St. Vitus Altar Society, Saunders County Fair Board, Raymond Central Booster Club and New Comers Extension Club.
Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband John of Valparaiso; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Hladik of Lincoln, David and Jackie Hladik of Valparaiso; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Phillips of Seward, Jeanne and David Dryburgh of Seward, Dianne and Kent Kool of Lincoln, Karen and Greg Schoon of West Des Moines, Iowa; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Gary Woita of Arizona: brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Karen Dolezal of Colorado and Dale and Patty Dolezal of Columbus.
Mass Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso with Revs. Paul York and Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be at St. Vitus Cemetery at Touhy.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with scriptural service and Catholic Daughters rosary at 7:30 p.m.., all at the church. Also one hour before service at church on Wednesday.
Honorary casket bearers are Jamie Policky and Alex Knudson.
Casket bearers are Johnathan Hladik, Joseph Phillips, Dustin, Joshua and Justin Hladik and Ross Lundy.
Memorials may be made for masses or family's choice.
Svoboda Funeral Home of Wahoo is in charge of the arrangements.
