Kenneth L. Hanson Sr.

1916 - 2010

WAHOO – Kenneth L. Hanson Sr., 93, of Wahoo, died Jan. 12 in Wahoo.
Hanson was born July 7, 1916 to Herman and Emma (Christofferson) Hanson near Davey. He was a retired farmer. He also retired from American Stores at age 62 after 24 years of service.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents; a brother, Theodore; and sister, Esther Maahs.
He is survived by his children and spouses, Leroy and Barb Hanson of Ceresco, Sharon and Harlan Johnson of Ceresco, Joan and John Swearingen of Lincoln; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Marcy Hanson of Ceresco, Jennifer and Darin Rezac of Kansas City, Mo., David and Sue Johnson of Lincoln, Julie and Mark Ferri of Sioux Falls, S.D., Christopher and Deanna Swearingen of Lincoln; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Jan. 15 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco with Pastor Dick Woolard officiating. Burial was at Wyuka Cemetery.
