Achilles Basiliko

Achilles Basiliko, 98, fell asleep in the Lord on August 16, 2025, with his loving son, Constantine, his niece Mary Carol and great-niece, Kathryn, at his side. He was born on December 20, 1926, in Washington, DC to Calliope and Basile Basiliko. Achilles was preceded in death by his wife, Elena, and parents, Calliope and Basile Basiliko. He was preceded in death by his sisters Marche Wolfe, Happy Swagart, Amalia Basiliko and Theodosia Basiliko and brothers Stalio (Oscar), Nick, Constantine (Gus), John, George, Harry, Gregory and Arthur, special niece Mary Helen and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his devoted son, Constantine, daughter-law, Jena, many nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law, Barbara Basiliko. The funeral will be held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, MD on Friday, August 22,2025. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Services will be live streamed at stgeorge.org. Interment and graveside service will be at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD at 1:00PM.
