Der-Stepanian; mother of Joanna Der-Stepanian of Germantown, MD, Rima (Brian) Craddock of Burtonsville, MD and Rita (Merle) Postal of North Potomac, MD; grandmother (MorMor) to Brett Postal, Joshua Craddock, Justin Postal and Christine Craddock; aunt to two nieces, Veron Aghayan of Brighton, MA and Ida (Kajaz) Babroudi of Lincoln, MA; sister-in-law to Sem (Rima, deceased) Aghayan of Massachusetts; sister to Ebba (KV, deceased) Byder and Henry (Birthe) Folkmann of Bornholm, Denmark; daughter of the late Karl Georg and Mary Christine Folkmann of Bornholm, Denmark. Born and raised in Denmark, Ada trained as a children‘s nurse and worked in an orphanage in Copenhagen in the last years of WWII. She briefly lived in England in the post-war years until coming to the USA where she met her husband at the International Student House in Washington, DC. Married in 1954 she was widowed in 1968. Ada Der-Stepanian lived in Washington, DC and Maryland since 1949 and worked for many years as a medical office manager. Services and Interment private.
