Lance Cpl. Adam Q. Emul

Adam Q. Emul Obituary

Adam Q. Emul enjoyed taking a pottery class in high school. Art teacher Susan Cole remembered him with fondness. "Adam was one of those kids who was always supportive," said Cole. "He was always willing to help others. He was so responsible and so considerate. He's the kind of kid you'd give a job recommendation to in a heartbeat. He was a wonderful person to know." Emul, 19, of Vancouver, Wash., was killed by a roadside bomb Jan. 29 in Anbar province. He was a 2005 high school graduate and was assigned to Twentynine Palms. "He was a quiet boy, who was very independent and loved to do things by himself," said his sister, Maryann Mendiola. He loved playing video games and dreamed of being a soldier. On his Myspace.com page, Emul described himself as a Pacific Islander who loved music by rock groups Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Black Sabbath, as well as Bob Marley, Led Zepplin and Green Day. "He was very well-liked and very well-respected," said Vancouver school district spokeswoman Kris Sork. "He was always willing to help others." He also is survived by his parents, Angelina Quitugua and Wen Emul.

Hello everyone,
He was in my fire team.. I'm the guy with the radio on my back(far right in pic). The was conversation we had was about helping him find a Mexican woman.. I asked why.. he said because when they love you... they love you hard.. lol Whenever we were of duty, I would take him to my house and party in Mexico. I miss and think about my brother each and everyday. My first born was born on my 2nd tour and wife sent a red cross message saying my boy was born March 7th.... that is his birthday.... god works in mysterious ways.... MAY YOU REST IN PEACE ADAM, YOU ARE OUR HERO! without your sacrafices we couldnt be enjoying freedom at this time on this earth. MEMORIAS ginen Talaabwoogh, Saipan to and your famz in VA,WA.

August 16, 2007

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

I can clearly picture your face and hear your voice. There is emptiness in my heart and the rest of me filled with so much pain and anger. I prayed everyday for
your safety and that you return home soon. The emptiness in me aches for an answer WHY- you were so young and had so much ahead of you. You will always have a special place in my heart for all your patience, your understanding,
your help and your love for me and my kids. As I read the letters from your squad as to what had happened that day and how long you fought to stay alive I knew you were fighting to stay alive to keep your promise to us that you will be fine. It was a promise I know you meant to keep. My tears fall every time Sir-Lashu says your name I could see in his eyes that there is that sense of loss that he is feeling as to he still looks forward to you coming home. I tell him that you will always be in his heart that you will be watching over him and that you will be his guardian angel. You remember all the nights he couldn't sleep until he slept right under your arms. You are a big part of him - watch over him. He loves you so much. Marc looks up to you as a big brother always wanted to tag along with the big boys. Anissa being so young can clearly say your name. The memories of you will be shared with the twins for you will always be a part of their lives. Losing you, I lost a part of me. My strength through all my pain is seeing a part of you within each of my kids. Remembering the times spent together and the laughs we all shared. You are always with us in our hearts, thoughts and our prayers. We love and miss you so much. WE LOVE YOU BAM

Always in our hearts, your sister Mary Ann and kids (Marc,Sir-Lashu, Anissa, Cody and Collin)

** A Message to All**
I want to thank you all for all the cards, letters, pictures, thoughts
and prayers that you have given my family during our time of loss. May God bless you all it has truly eased and helped us through this time. We pray for the safety of all the troops that they all come home soon. From our family to yours THANK YOU.

Wassup Bro,

We miss alot man. Things are different without you here. You are always with us everyday. Ever since you joined the Marines I have been saying a silent prayer for you whenever I am alone. We all miss you and love you very much. Sir-Lashu is growing up pretty fast. He misses you alot. He as change alot since you left and sometimes I get worried and sad because his best friend and uncle is not here to play basketball with him. Marc misses you alot too. I guess he likes to stay in his room and play games just so that he knows you are there with him. Mom is doing fine. She is heartbroken but she knows that you are in a safe place. She really misses you alot man. Don't worry about her Meng and I will take good care of her. Meng is doing fine too. She worries me alot because she has changed alot since you left. You two were very close and she misses you alot. Every time we mention you or look at pictures she would shed tears. Don't worry bro I will take good care of them. I'm Sorry about what has happened. Remember when we talked about you being the godfather of the twins, it was suppose to be a surprise for meng. Adam even if you are not there for the baptismal you will always be their godfather. I will write again.

You are the footprints in the path that we walk on.

Love you man.

“Paid in Full”
To Honor The Service of Fallen and Injured Marines

Marines through and through, they paid the price
Six thousand miles away, we live the life
For which they paid with their blood, spirits and bodies
We will never forget what they paid in full

We hope and we pray that somehow their loved ones find comfort
In God, in the flag, in the memory of their loved ones’ bravery
They’re gone now but we see them still…proud, strong, willing
Covering each other’s backs… courageous, moving forward

What kind of love did they have for us to be willing
To give it all for the Black, White, Jew, Christian, Muslim?
We don’t comprehend but we honor you now and forever
You are Our Marines…some living…some not
Forever in our hearts we will cherish your lives

Lives too short yet immortal they’ll be
Highest brotherhood of the Few, the Proud
They stand at attention, and we gaze with awe
Some know their names not, but our admiration for them
Flows limitless within us, between us

They sacrificed their limbs or their lives
Freedom still rings, a soft sound across the miles
It tolls slowly; all of creation takes note
Of the lives that were lost for people unknown

Out of sight but not lost; forever among us
The starched blues marching straight
Toward the place where we will meet them
Many years from now…how we loved them…
Well done beloved Brothers and Sisters…You’ve paid it in full
Always Faithful Marines, You Have Paid it in Full

To Adam's family and friends-
My family and I are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. We send our deepest empathy as we lost our Marine on 11/30/05 in Fallujah. We are comforted to know that our Marines are serving their country with such honor and bravery. We are so proud of our Marines and all of our other service men and women for all that they have done and continue to do to keep us safe and to give us the freedom we have that so many take for granted.
They are true Heroes and need to always be remembered for their selflessness and sacrifice to better our world. We will forever be united in the loss of our heros. We are so sorry for your loss and hope our words will ease some of the pain, and maybe fill some of your emptiness.

To the Family of Lance Cpl. Adam Q. Emul:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.
