HENNIG, ALBERT WILLIAM
Born October 16, 1917, died February 23, 2004, will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 2 p.m. He had endured dementia for the last eight years and lived in a nursing home near his home in Leesburg VA. Born in Holyoke, MA, he graduated from Georgetown University class of 1938, and Georgetown Law School; became a FBI agent after law school then continued in intelligence work with the OSS in China in 1946 and remained in the CIA with postings in India, Pakistan, Turkey and Iraq. After retiring in 1970's, he worked as a realtor for the next 20 years. His marriage to Elsie Johnson Hennig ended in divorce. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Triplet Hennig; two children from his first marriage, Albert William Hennig, Jr. of Castro Valley, CA and Elsie Allen Hennig of Arlington, VA; and two children from his second marriage, Sandra Marion Hennig of Atlanta, GA and Michael Albert Hennig of Leesburg, VA and a grandson.
