Amice is in a much better place than all of us and that pleases me. These words, therefore, go out to her family. Rick and Georgette, we go back a LONG way -- when times were simple and life had a slow and easy feel to it. There are absolutely no words that I can express to ease your pain, I know that. But do know that my prayers are with you. When your thoughts really get you down, just remember the GOOD ole days. My best to you two and your families.

Amice, you were a sister that I really wanted to get to know a little bit better. You gave me a feel good presence when ever you were around or whenever I spoke to you. Your legacy will be shown through your loved ones. I promise i will do my best to take care of Bernadette. You are one of the main reasons why we are still together today. I know we have you blessings from above. You will be missed very much. I will always love you.

Dear Amice,
Even though we’ve never formally met, your life is a true inspiration. I have been blessed to have met your sister in the SOS nursing program. Through the many stories she has shared it is evident that the love you have shown toward her has helped her to become the strong minded loving person she has shown me. You will ALWAYS be remembered and your legacy will continue to live on through your loving family members.

Amice,
My Cousin,My Girl,My Sister-Friend!
11 months apart, we are
11 months and 12 days, to be exact
Biologically cousins, but tight like sisters
And that's a fact.
We stick by each other,
Always to the end,
Because you are...
My Cousin,My Girl,My Sister-Friend.
It was my first birthday,
Celebrated at your house.
I pulled at your hand,
While you lay quiet as a mouse.
You remember a long time ago,
When we had our one and only fight?
I got so angry,
Over something so slight.
You put that snowball in my pocket,
& it melted while we were walking.
I got mad when I put my hand in it,
& started swinging instead of talking.
From that day on, I vowed to myself
that we would stick by each other,
Always to the end,
Because you are...
My Cousin,My Girl,My Sister-Friend.
We would rush the school year by,
through all seasons weather,
Just so that you & I
Could spend the summers together.
You were so concerned about me getting paid,
at that summer program we went to.
You know all I really cared about,
was hanging out with you.
Seems like this happened yesterday,
but we're all grown up now.
Time just flew by,
& I sit and wonder how.
A couple of years ago,
we modeled in Harvey's fashion show
I came to pick you up from your house,
& you were moving oh so slow!
I said "Hurry up Mease,
we're going to be late!"
You told me "Be quiet Big Head,
Harvey can wait!"
Yep, those were the good times,
& good times we'll have again...
because you are...
My Cousin,My Girl,My Sister-Friend!
AMICE, I LOVE & MISS YOU DEARLY!

Mice, Mice, Mice.... I heard the news and wept. I have not seen you since I took your picture on your Mom's plaid couch when you were about 3 or 4 months old when your Mom and I lived on Fort Totten/Hawaii Avenue, N.E.; we went to St. Cecilia's together. I can only say that while I have not seen you in a long while and now I won't see you, you have always been in my heart, you and your Mom. We spent lots of good times together, you and my twin sons, Dwight & Dwayne (only one year younger than you) and your Mom and I. I know that you are in a better place, and I know that your family will miss you, but God has a plan for us all; we have to trust in that and know that He knows best. I will keep them in my prayers. (Rick/George, get in contact with me, I would love for you to have these wonderful baby pictures of Mice .....)

Amice,
I can still hear your voice and imagine the moments we shared together....Our common greeting was to say to each other, "Hey Girl, I like your style"! That was OUR thing! :) I regret that I never got a chance to elaborate because we would always move on to something else. But, I always wanted to tell you what I meant by that: You were smooth! I mean, you exuded confidence and sincerity. Your life was a testimony and you never even had to say a word. Your actions said enough. You had experienced God for yourself and would share Him with us through your hugs and kisses! You ARE a wonderful example of God's love. You had a lot of style with you, girl! And, I always admired you for it....I guess we'll have to put our shopping trip on a raincheck. I'll catch up with you soon and we can make a day of it!
Love ya much!

Amice & I sat next to each other on a flight to Jabbok's woman's retreat to Florida a few years ago. She expressed her fear of flying. I told her, don't worry, every time you get scared grab my hand. We held hands the entire flight. Just when we thought our journey was over, to both of our surprises we had to transfer to a tiny crock plane. She took one look at the plane and screamed. All we could do is laugh.
When we returned from the woman's retreat she greeted me in the church lobby with a warm exuberant smile, and her trademark hug. I will miss her sweetness and her hugs.

Amice was the most genuine and loving person I knew. Her ability to make you laugh was incredible, and her personal style was second to none. Amice had such a dry sense of humor (hillarious) and I will especially miss the way she gave me Zurberts (kisses) on the cheek. I can't imagine anyone other than her doing that...I will miss that terribly.
I was so proud of Amice stepping out into adulthood and it was an honor to watch her grow. As strangers we would sit by each other on the metro and after 7 and 1/2 years we had a sisterhood that is irreplaceable. Amice was my friend and I loved her dearly.
We were alike in many ways, but most of all in that we both had an unquestionable love for our Daddy's and our families; which will always remain.
Big Jessie and Family,
There is no doubt in my mind that Amice is smiling down right now in awe of your love...

I'm looking at the picture from the family gathering which included you as we celebrated another year my existence. I thank God that we crossed one another's path. You were truly a blessed addition to my siblings. I will never forget how we talked and prayed about our families being blessed and recovering all that belonged to each and every one of them. The manifestation is now taking place. I am going to miss you. Who am I going to go fantas-great shoe shopping with now? "Message!!!" I love you!!!

Amice, I will miss your BIG HUGS AND BIG ZERBURT KISSES! Your love is irreplaceable. Thank you for always knowing the right things to say to make us smile and laugh,to me you were God's remedy for sorrow. You were always there at the right time and right place to fill our lives with joyous moments. As I think back to when we were kids, your spirit never changed, your love remained the same.
Thank you for teaching me how to laugh inspite of circumstances and even now, I'm remembering things you did that made us laugh so hard (the good ole'days). We will miss you.

Amice:
I was sad when I heard the news of your passing it was so unreal, my friend is gone. No more hugs and no more giggling. I missed the times we had share because we shared some of the same passions. I guess I took our time for granted. And thought will always have tomorrow but now I truly understand that tomorrow isn't promise...
But then I rejoice for the Blessing that God gave me that he allowed you to be part of my life and allowed us to have those moments. So I celebrate your life; I am no longer sad because I know that your in heaven with our Father now who can be sad about that...
I know one thing you were my ANGEL... A real angel wrapped in flesh...
Some people are angels without wings. Who spread joy around and do wonderful things! If an angel is someone who's filled with love, it's a gift that they constantly share, If an angel is someone who looks out for others and give them a nudge here or there, If an angel is someone who touches your life with a heart that's both joyful and wise, Then even though you don't have halo or wings, you're an angel in human disguise! May all the warmth and love you bring to every life you touch. And all the joy you help create because you care so much. Be given back to you today to bless the life you lived and showed. How much you're loved and treasured, too, by everyone you knew, I know GOD IS BLESSING You.. And NOW you get to where you WING!!! Love You Forever And ALWAYS!!! Meka
