AMIR D. BROOKS-WATSON
On Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Devoted son of Pamela Brooks and Mani Watson; loving brother of Patriya Colquitt, Tionne Penn-Brooks and Imani Watson. He is also survived by his grandparents, James and Lizzie Brooks, Robert Jones and Linda Watson; two aunts, Tanya Brooks and Ashaki Jones; uncle, Reginald Brooks; one nephew, two nieces and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. Preceded in by uncle, Robert Cook. Wake, 9:30 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 16 at Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 4444 Old Branch Ave., Temple Hill, MD 20748. Dr. Fields, Pastor. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by FREEMAN.

Amir, I never felt so much pain in my heart the way I felt when God gave you your wings. You was the most chilled, laid back, coolest young man I've ever known, and your smile could light up anyone's mood. I still remember the convo we had about you wanting to be a Barber, and I told you, you can do anything you put your mind to, and that I could see you doing that and to stay focused on that goal. Smh now we will never get to see your work. Nina looks at your pics and say "Mommy where Mir Mir at?" And I just tell her you're asleep which is so hard. Continue to watch over everyone.
