Arthur Quinn Memoriam

Quinn
Arthur Lee Quinn (Age 94)
Arthur Lee Quinn died peacefully on December 29, 2025 at the age of 94 in the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake City Veterans Home, with family members by his side.
The great love of Arthur's life was his wife of fifty years, Sharon O'Callaghan Quinn. Sharon and Arthur were happily married until her death in 2019. Arthur's other great loves were his six children and five wonderful grandchildren; his alma maters Georgetown Preparatory School, Villanova University, and Georgetown University Law School; and-beginning later in life-writing screenplays and children's books. Three of his children's books-The Rarie, Brendan the Brave, Book 1, and Brendan the Brave, Book 2-were published in the last five years of his life. Visit arthurleequinn.com to learn more.
Arthur's professional life was no less impressive than his post-retirement pursuits. He began his law career as a prosecutor with the Judge Advocate General corps of the Air Force from 1957 to 1960, during which time he never lost a case and rose to the rank of captain. He then practiced law for several decades in the Washington, DC area, specializing in agricultural regulation and foodstuffs produced in the region of Central America. He assisted the Department of Agriculture during the Ronald Reagan Presidential Administration transition. He also advised the administration before, during, and after the independence of Belize in 1981. In the 1990s and 2000s, Arthur worked with a nonprofit partner of USAID called Nutrition & Education International to introduce soybeans as a staple crop in Afghanistan. Soybeans are an alternative cash crop to opium and a less-expensive protein source. It was dangerous work, but it brought Arthur great joy and pride.
Arthur is survived by his six children, Helen, Lee, Elizabeth, Chris, Brendan, and Mark; his five grandchildren, Andrew, Maica, Cassius, Sofia, and Isabella; and his sister Elizabeth Kelly. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon and his sister Mary Immer.

Arthur's funeral will be held Saturday, January 31, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on the campus of Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Maryland. His ashes will be interred with his wife's at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.

To the entire Lee family and Lee in particular,
I send my thoughts and prayers. Arthur and my father were classmates at Prep. They were also friends through life. He and Lee were instrumental in helping me feel at home at Prep. May all of you be granted the fortitude to endure and the strength to overcome this difficult time.
Lee, please feel free to reach out.

I knew Arthur and Sharon many years ago when they lived in the Washington DC area. They were close friends of my former sister-in-law Trish Powell Smith. Arthur and Sharon were so kind and loving. I know he is at peace now that he is reunited with Sharon.
