Barbara Mcnamara Obituary

Barbara McNamara age 86 of Kensington, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Bill McNamara.
Barbara was a cherished mother to her three children, Mike McNamara and his wife Mary Jane, Lee Perkins and her husband John, Kate Perreault and her husband Mike. Proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: Kyle, Connor, Brendan, Matt, Shelley, Allison, Ben, Sydney and Maren. She is also survived by her dear friend and loving companion Chalmers "Hap" Rankin Carr, Jr; whom she attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School with, they were fortunate to reconnect later in life. She dedicated her life to her family, nurturing them with love and warmth.
Known for her kindness, wisdom, and vibrant spirit, Barbara touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a source of strength and inspiration, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her legacy of love will continue to resonate within her family and friends.
Barbara McNamara will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at Pumphrey's Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, MD 20814 on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
