I was a soroity sister of Barb's in the class ahead of her. I am in the process of doing our class Theta newsletter and have been forwarding this article given to me by Katie Huhn Nick's to all of my class as their letters come in. I was saddened by what seemed to me to be a shortened life of a very sweet and beautiful girl(to me). I would like to offer this short prayer.
Heavenly Father, I give thanks for having known Barb many years ago and I desire that she enjoys ever lasting life in peace and tranquility. I also desire that her family be given comfort. In Christ's name I pray this.

With greatest sympathy to all of you. Barb was a "role model" of what a person should be at all times and under every circumstance. Her creativity was boundless, and her love of beauty, endless. She will be remembered to me as someone who always said, "Why Not?"

Dear Spence and Family: Joe and I are so sorry for your loss of a wife and mother. We pray that God will comfort your unspeakable heartfelt pain. Barb was one of the finest ladies in the Pensacola Navy Wives Club. I will always remember her for her sense of humor, graciousness and kindness.
